Question PCOS & Fertility - My Story

Hello all. My name is Kerri & I am new to this website. I wanted to share my story & see if there is anyone out there that can either relate or that has advice. I do not know the abbreviations yet so please bare with me. Ok let's begin. My hubby & I have been married for almost 8 years. We have been trying to have children the entire time. My primary md & gyno always would say loose some weight & you will get pregnant. I have seriously heard that was what was wrong with me for years. I am overweight & have dealt with that for the majority of my adult life.N-e-ways. I finally said enough & was referred to a fertility endo & have been on a great road ever since. I was diagnosed very quickly with PCOS & put on Metphormin (1500 a day). I have been on Femara now for two cycles. The first cycle I was on it days 3-7 (5mg a day) & did not produce any follies that were large enough. So the next month (I am now in day 30 of this cycle- I did Femara (7.5mg a day) for days 3-10. I did produce a couple that were measuring around 13. So on day 17 of my cycle I did my first HCG Injection that evening. I go on Monday for an ultrasound but last night (against my better judgement) I took a home preg test. It was negative. Does anyone have any advice or ever been there? I am so bummed but happy at the same time. I am worried that I am going to start my p. I am not having any signs of pms so not sure. Could the HCG injection prolong my period or get me off schedule? My md did say that I would do Femara again next month for the same days but would do more HCG injections (4 days-possibly twice a day). That is scary.. I am so nervous so any advice would be great. Thanks for listening & if you have anything to add please do so. I was put on this earth to be a mother. Thanks for listening. Ker
