I just had the surgery last tuesday. I had the RYN done and I couldn't imgagin not telling my family and friends. I had bad reactions at first, many people just didn't understand how being over weight effects you. I also had infection right after surgery and got phenomia. However, I am doing much better, I have already lost a few pounds being post one week. Im still scared of the future because let's face it, we love food or we wouldn't be over weight. I love hot wings, hamburgers, hotdogs and I just hope in the future I can eat those things in a small portion of course. I would tell your mom, and family because my family and friends got me through the whole process and still are helping me through it as I am healing. My mom helps me into the shower, and checks my wounds daily for me. She also rubbed my face when I was in the hospital none stop just to let me know she was there for me. I would say you don't have to go out and announce it to the world but your family should know to help you...
