Metformin isn't typically the drug given to deal with hair issues.

BTW, your first doctor should not be practicing medicine. Not only is pcos never a woman's 'fault', it doesn't mean that she can't have children.

It's really disappointing to hear that doctors are giving out such awful medical information to the detriment (mentally and physically) of their patients.

They're not all like that, so read up on pcos, and go to your next appointment (with a new doctor) well-armed on the topic.
