I kept it secret and plucked and tweezed and waxed when he was out or when he'd be asleep or preoccupied. As time went by (four years) we'd gotten married and I was getting worse. I didn't know what I had, I had never even heard of it before. I was 86+ lbs higher then and my hair was growing on my chin now, a med mustache, dark hair on my upper arm, chin and toes. Oh yeah, and belly which was now HUGE. He NEVER mentioned. And I know he saw it there. He had to of because I got so depressed it was hard to hide it. It affected me that much. Keeping that secret I mean. It became that important. Then by the grace of God, a wonderful mother, and a FANTASTIC Dr. I was led to find out that I had PCOS. I researched it and immediately began eating properly. I lost 60lbs and was then put on Metformin and lost another 26lbs all in 7months. I am now regular and no new hair is growing;however the old hair did/does keep coming back.
Well, armed with this new information (at the beggining of this journy) I told my now DH what I had been hiding. Something happened.
He said he was sorry that it had made me feel that way, he didn't even really notice (I know he said that to make me feel better) and that he was glad it was something I could A: feel relief from secrets B:the answers I had wanted all along.
He's amazing. I'm so smitten with him at the re-telling of this story, I can't take my eyes off him. Ha.
sorry so long | That's awesome! Hearing a story like yours gives me hope. I am now starting to eat better so hopefully I can lose weight and will be going to a new Dr. so I can get put back on metformin. Hopefully I too will have no new hair growth....just have to deal with what I have. Thanks again!
