taking small steps to introduce new things into your life is not a bad thing although slow going. some people want to go full out quit everything cold turkey and get on the good ol excercise regime and have it done with, but you can get overwhelmed easily and slip back into old habits that arent going to help you. if you start with the fundemental steps of what it is your wanting and introduce changes that are simple and easy to get used to you can definately build the healthy habit of doing those things consistently and move to the next step. it may be good to write it down and set some goals and get yourself a step by step this is how im going to implement positive changes/habits into my life. its also good if you dont have to do 2 separate things eg: meal preparation. is your hubby on board with your wanting a change of pace to things? if you need to be making 2 kinds of meals, it may also make it so you slip back into your old eating routine cuz it would make life a little less complicated. for excercise i find having a partner helps keep you accountable for making sure your on top of it cuz you have someone else relying on you to be there to help be their motivation as well.
good luck with your quest and i hope things work out for you. |
