Ok, so it didn't quite come out the way I was planning...I know not all women with pcos are obese. It does say that obesity is one of the symptoms. I was just wondering with women that have that symptom, does the pcos cause the obesity or do obese women develop pcos because they are heavy? Or can it be both, depending on the situation? I just know that I started out at a healthy weight and can not get my weight under control, but have had pcos symptoms since the onset of menstruation.

I did look into cushings...I highly doubt I have that...I think the only symptoms I have are obesity and irregular periods. But I did find that one study said weight gain at adolesence is a symptom caused by pcos. So I guess that answered my question.
