You can be of "average" weight and still have PCOS.
I was always average weight in my teens and 20's but still had irregular periods and hormones imbalances that were diagonosed as PCOS.

Ever since I hit my 30's I've put on some poundage, but I'm working to get rid of it now.

So yes, you can have pcos even if you are of average weight.
