Okay, so just went through this entire thread. The celebs are interesting, but ladies, the only way anyone will talk about PCOS more is if we do it. I recently posted on my Mommy and Me board about having it. I only joined a few months ago and have developed friendships so I thought it was worth sharing.

Anyway, we don't "need" Oprah. We who have it are the best people to explain it and its affects. Spreading the word starts with us and yes it can be hard. I remember when I told my mom. Her response was "Well, you didn't get that from me." My mother also has an overactive thyroid though so she has always been thin. Now, in her fifties she has gained weight in classic PCOS form (belly fat). She also has A LOT of facial hair and she has thin hair like me. So really, what are the chances she doesn't have it? Anyway, just saying...we're the best spotlight anyone can bring to PCOS. :o)
