When we began foster care, we had committed to house children ages 0-8. We had no idea what age to expect. You need to be prepared b/c the children do not come with anything a lot of the time. We hit clearance racks and tried to have at least a few clothing items for each age/gender group. If you are only caring for babies it should be a little easier for you to plan and purchase items.
