Glad to see that there are positive stories. Our was NOT POSITIVE at all. In fact since we fought for the babies we had in care we now may not get approved to adopt at all. Our states foster care system is corrupt, and if you piss them off (which we did), they will block you from adopting. So if your in a state that has a decent system it might be ok. However, I would never recommend foster care to anybody. Our three older boys went through worse things in foster care than they did with their birth families. They also were in care 10 plus years and were never even given the chance to be adopted. All three of them were in the same horrible home. All of them were homeless on their 18th birthdays. The home they were all in is still an active foster home with several children placed there. So our opinion of the foster care system is very poor for the obvious reasons stated above.
