There's only one way to know if met is working....bloodwork. Symptoms are a good sign, but I know for me my hormones were improving on paper but my periods and stuff were still a long way from being regulated. Sometimes when your hormones have been bungled for a while it can take some time to get it all straightened out. So usually every 3-6 months your Dr will order your bloodwork done again. That way he can compare the levels now to what they were when you started the drug and make sure you're moving in the right direction. If you can see from the values that your hormones are slowly on their way down, then you can just work on the diet/exercise side of things, keep taking the drug and things will become more regular as your hormones improve.
Hope it helps!
