Hi all. Really wish I wasn't having to join this group. I just had a m/c. I didn't tell DH, am debating if I should since we didn't know I was preg.
My son, Allen, is 4mos old. Atleast I was blessed with him!
My mom kinda refused that I was having a m/c. She feels that was just a really weird period. But, she's not good with that stuff. I'll let her believe that if it makes her feel better.
I'm afriad to tell DH b/c I was told I couldn't get preg, and then I had Allen. He was worried from the beginning that Allen was a blesing and we'd never have another. This may be true.
Do you all feel that I should tell him? I'm afraid that by telling him I'm admitting that I'll never have another, and that makes me sad.

I've just been reading some of your other posts...i'm so sorry you had to come over here!!
If you want my honest opinion...i think you should tell him. Thats not the kind of secret you want to spend energy on keeping from him and always worrying he'll find out later, youre energy is needed for other things now. And this angel baby is his angel baby too...he deserves to know. And you need his support...yeah i think you should tell him.
Whatever you decide...please take care and i hope you reach out for support as much as you can...the ladies here are very helpful.

I'm glad you decided to tell him. Guys do handle this kind of thing differently than women, so let him give it some thought and such... sometimes they don't talk about it much or they try to look on the bright side only. If you need him to be there for you, tell him what you need.
I'm very sorry for your loss. After pregnancy, we are often quite fertile compared to before. I hope that you all have the family that you dream of, however many kids that might involve.
(((Hugs)))

Sorry for your loss I think it was a good idea to tell DH as well! A m/c is something difficult to deal with for many and having your hubby to share it will most likely help you in dealing with it as well.
I just wanted to tell you what a cutie your son is! If though you were told you won't have kids you have a beautiful boy and just because you had this m/c doesn't mean that you will not be able to have another one - miracles happen everyday around these boards!
Let us know how DH took the news.

Thanks for all your support. DH was surprised, stunned, shocked, wanted to stay home from work today to be with me. Imade him go to work. I told him the between Allen and my dog who just had surgury, I would be kept pretty busy.
I also told my mom and my sister. They were both very supportive and understanding of the fact that I don't want to tell everyone.
It'll be hard, though. I have a friend who's son is a week younger than Allen, and she's pregnant with #2. 10 weeks, I was between 8-10, my ob said. They did a d&c.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I'm very glad that you told you dh (and mom and sister) about your m/c. It would be really hard to truly grieve if you could only do so in private, and not even share it with your dh and your close family members. (((hugs)))

you should definetly tell him. I didn't tell my dh for a while until I finally just lost it and went nuts. It almost tore us apart. You shouldn't have to got through this alone and he deserves to know.
