I'm on my 4th month on Yasmin. I've usually gotten AF the 4th day of the white pills. I haven't had bad cramping when I'm on AF.. but I did get them the first two months!
I never thought the mood swings were a part of it... but now that I think about it... as soon as I start taking the white pills....watch out!!!
I'd wait at least one more day before you go out to buy a hpt.

I started taking Yasmin in October 2003 and didn't have AF until April 2004. I called my ob/gyn but she said not to worry about it. I have had more or less normal periods for the last three months, but a LOT of cramps.
I hope your AF comes on time and that you don't get the cramps!
Thanks ladies. I'm holding out on the hpt....I don't think I am, so why waste the money?
My mood swings happened during the active pills, but that's probably because I was having to help dh get ready to deploy for the rest of the summer...hmm. Nothing like a little stress to make a hormonal woman even more crazy!

I usually don't get AF until I am on the 3rd of 4th white pill, either. When I was on loestrin, I used to get AF as SOON as I started the inactive pills. So, it seems that Yasmin works a bit differently.
Also, the first month or two on the pill is likely to be weird since your body is still adjusting to the meds.
I hope things get straightened out for you soon!

Sorry it took me so long to respond Jesi....yep, the hag showed. It was probably my worst af in months. But her stay was short (3 days) and she's packed up and left for the month. I anxious to see if I'm as crabby this month as last month, but that may be hard to tell, since I'm home alone with ds until September when dh returns home.

I am glad that Yasmin is working for you---I am kinda scared about starting it next week when my AF visits. I was on some other BC pill for about 2 years and got off of it--and have reg. cycles now just painful with cysts--so the dr. thinks this is what I need and Since My dh like yours is Gone All the time--and will be gone for the next 12 months I thought I would give it a try--since there is no hope of conception but maybe 2 weeks R n R out of a year. Where are yall stationed? B has been in Korea for the past 17 1/2 months and was soupose to come home around end of July but they are deploying like 3600 plus from korea and he is one of them!! UGG lol
Sorry to hear about your dh....I'm assuming he was on a remote and then got deployment orders on top of that? Ugh. That totally sucks. I'm soooo sorry.
We're in FL. Dh does get to come home, but then he rotates right back out again. I'm not sure which is worse--having them gone for a 1+ and knowing that when they get home they are done with the deployments or having him come and go on deployment? Either way, it sure does suck.
Hope you get good results with the Yasmin. I started my active pills 3 days ago....I'm still kinda *****y, but who's to say that's really the meds? Could just be me...
Take care of yourself. Stay busy. You'll get thru this!
