1st round of clomid, No folliciles,boobs hurt badly

Hello,

I am newbie here. I am on my first round of clomid -50mg. Today is my 29th day of cycle. My RE is monitoring my cycle with ultrasound and all. On 12th day he called me for vaginal ultrasound, but he said there is no follies or may be not sizable enough. So he said there is extremely rare chance in this cycle. Now my question is why my boobs are hurting so much? It started hurting from 14-15th day. From past few days I am also very tired, sleepy, little hearburn. I dont know is this side effects of clomid? Or can I be pregnant ( Though there were no follies/small follies on 12th day)? Or periods are coming? My nurse was telling me on 13th day there wouldnt be ovulation so periods wont come.

I even dont know whether I ovulated this cycle or not. I dint use Ovulation kits and BBT.

Please pour your ideas and help me with your inputs.

you know, that makes me wonder if u ovulated before the ultra sound....? If you were to be pregnant, youve given yourself plenty of time to find out by an at home test! Pee on a stick and let us know what happens! Most women will ovulate 5-10 after their last Clomid pill. What days did u take em? I ovulated cycle day 11. Had I had an ultrasound on day 12, it wouldve shown no follies. Go grab a test!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I am going to test tommrow morning. Though I dint have any hope in this cycle coz RE said you dint respond to clomid. Btw, I took clomid 3-7 days of my cycle.

Still we always have some hope every cycle, Right??

Any more inputs everyone?

You know, some women (I saw their charts on FF) ovulated on their 4th or 5th day of taking Clomid!! Anything is possible.... Hopefully you BD'd everyday! LOL

Do you chart on FF?

And you dont need to wait for first morning urine..... If u ovulated before CD12..... and u r CD29 now, that means you would be atleast 2 weeks after conception..... which is plenty of time for hCG to group and test accurately at any time of the day.

I dont want you to get your hopes up too high and then have them smashed, so take the test knowing, that its only a possibility.... AND PLEASE LET ME KNOW what happens!!!

No, I dont chart on FF. But I will be definitly doing in next cycle. I dont have any clue whether I ovulated or not. But tomorrow morning I got to call my RE for Progesterone test and they will also do Pregnancy test I guess.

I just asked my DH, should I do pregnancy test. He is saying no, and I know why. He dont want to get disappointed again.

I am secretly hoping for Pregnancy.

Well I want to say, that you are a stronger woman than I!!! I wouldve taken a hundred by now.... LOL... But, you should ask the dr to do a test before taking progesterone, just in case.... and actually, I dont think the progesterone would hurt, I dont think too much after conception is bad, I think its just not enough after conception. But I dont really know that for sure..... Anyways..... You are already paying the drs fee, so make em PT u anyways!

If you had an U/S CD 12, that also could've been too early to see any sizeable follies, especially since many women O late on Clomid. My doctor claims he likes to see everyone ovulate by CD14, which just isn't the case for probably most women, especially on this board! I didn't O till CD20 last month and I'm sure that CD12 wouldn't have shown any good follies either.

Unfortunately, without temperature charting or using OPKs, it's really a crap shoot as far as whether or not you ovulated. I would POAS until day 35, and if negative and no AF then on to the next round or whatever doctor is having you do.

The boob soreness and other side effects all happen to me on the Clomid after I O from the progesterone rise after O. That's what makes me think maybe you DID O, just late?

Its my bad that I dint make BBT chart now I am regretting. I have no idea I ovulated or not. I was relying on cervical mucus, but through that also I couldnt find out. I am scared to take pregnancy test,dont want to see negative again.

I may have ovulated late...as before PCOS..My cycle used to be longer..it was never like 28 days. Or May be I dint ovulate this cycle, coz I never felt like I am ovulating.

Well POAS and let us know! I'm crossing my fingers for you, but i think you DID ovulate, judging by your symptoms. My boobs ALWAYS hurt after O, up through AF.

And I never "felt" any O symptoms myself, and some women won't! I've read everywhere from excruciating pain to nothing at all.

I only know I'm O'ing cause I am extra horny (sorry TMI) and EWCM during arousal. Although the Clomid is making it more hostile each cycle...

Hey Chelseabare - I will definitly let you all know. What if I ovulated on 28th day then progestrone level wont show up. Today is my 30th day only. I am worried.
