Hello everyone, I was just wondering if I could get some some encouragement. Anyone out there get BFP with first or second round of Clomid???

I haven't O'd since February of 08(and that was because of BCP). Went to RE in October and got put on Clomid 100mg. I O'd and got a BFP. Unfortunately, it ended in a chemical pregnancy, but I stay positive in the fact that it worked! I blame the fact that I hadn't shed my lining before getting preg. Anyways, we are trying again soon! This will be my first cycle with clomid (whenever AF decides to show), and was curious about the success rate too...particularly if I haven't started any type of low carb or gi diet...glad you started this thread!!!
I got my BFP on my second round of Clomid 50mg cd 3-7 . I didn't BD the correct way the first time and was kinda lax so I'm confident if I had done everything correctly the first time I could have gotten my bfp then. It ended in miscarriage but point is I got the BFP... I'm starting it again in 4 days but doing it days 5-9 because I have a different OBGYN
I don't know if I'm a rare exception, but I did twice on the first round at 50 mg. The first one I miscarried but I was under a lot of stress at the time, but I tried it again 3 months after my miscarriage and it worked again on the first round with twin daughters. I was on a low carb diet for about 6 months before that and was walking 2 miles about three or four times a week, so I don't know if that had any effect at all. I wish you the best and hope you get a baby or two out of it!

my friend took one load of clomid given to her by a friend and she now has a very beautiful little boy x 1st time x

Thanks for the feedback. I just started taking Provera again last night to get AF to come so that I can start my second round of 100mg days 5-9. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a BFP on or near my birthday which is Feb. 15th.

Round 1 was my lucky round, I was also on metformin. I'm not IR but the success rates with PCOS and the clomid/met combo are much higher.

Congraduations!!!! I was prescribed 1500mg of metformin with my first round but I had to take 500mg 3 times a day and between feeling like crap (nausea) and trying to work 12 hour shifts, I only ended up taking 500mg a day, if at all. So my dr. changed me to Metformin ER with 1500mg once a day, so far so good on that, just waiting for my af to show so I can begin again!
