Default 2 m/c in four months(TTC & Living Child ment.)

Hello everyone...
I am being tested right now for PCOS after going through two miscarriages in four months. Both were blighted ovums and I have found info where B/O can be caused by PCOS. My Dr is wonderful in helping us in anyway possible to carry to term. I have a son who is 3 we had no problems during that pregnancy. And we have no problems getting preg. just cant carry it seems. Or in the case of blighted ovums the embryo stops forming for some unknown reason. Here is the info I have found linking the two together...
Elevated levels of insulin and glucose may cause problems with development of the embryo. Insulin resistance and late ovulation (after day 16 of the menstrual cycle) also may reduce egg quality, which can lead to miscarriage.
This seems to be alot of my problems since both my m/c's were blighted ovums. If I am just rambleing on I am sorry I am just really happy to find somewhere that others know what I am going through.
Thanks Dawn

Welcome Dawn!
Sorry to hear about your losses..
I couldnt imagine...
But I hope that your test prove that you do have PCos and you can start getting that controlled and get you on your baby with a Healthy pregnancy.

I am also in Alabama...and my Dh's name is Michael too!!

I miscarried in June which was a total shock to me..since I had 2 perfect pregnancies from before.

It was my first cycle trying for our 3rd..and I was not on Met and Im IR. But we just started trying, I didnt get checked up with Dr's or anything. Just decided to try.

So, I blame myself...since I knew I should have been on it. But the only reasons I went Met in the past was to get my periods..since without it....I just didnt get it.

But since Sept of last year, AF had been coming regularly without Met...(some miracle)..so I thought everything was going good, maybe my levels were getting better on its own or something.

But, I ended up with a bligthed Ovum...and I know what the cause was. This is now my 3rd cycle..and I now have my Met and hoping for that NOT to happen again!

Sorry I havent been on here....We are also adding on to our house and since I am not pg. anymore I have been trying to help out with painting etc...
My Dr is going to pull my test this Tues. I am not sure about all this..I know she said something about different meds. but I am kinda in a fog right now...Potty training and the addition to the house. I hope to have all this out of the way in Nov. so we can TTC again!! I think DH has second thoughts but he is willing if I think I am strong enough and can handle it. Thanks for your responce!! I will keep you posted on things!

My OB is a strong believer in Met for the first trimester at least to help prevent m/c in PCOS. I've had 2 m/c myself, the 1st one I was only on met for 6 weeks so maybe that wasn't long enough. The 2nd m/c I was on met for a few months already. So unfortunately met isn't the answer for all m/c, but certainly worth a try.

Sorry for your losses, hope you feel up to TTC soon.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I have had many m/c myself. 6 during the 3 years I was TTC before I had my son, Jamie, who just turned 2. It's so hard to go through it, and especially hard when you feel alone and don't know what is causing you to m/c. If indeed you have PCOS, then a drug like metformin (as the PP mentioned) may help you out a lot. I used a low carb diet to help me carry Jamie.

Thanks sooo much everyone...I am not alone in this am I??? Its sad but also nice to know.
Packerfan~ sorry dont know your name...I know thats one med she mentioned and baby asprin was another...and OH YEA I am up for TTC well the trying part anyway..lol I am not going to worry myself to death with all the charting and stuff. Its wayyy too much stress. If god wants it to happen it will. And thanks sweetie!
Laura ~ I have tried the low carb thing and well it made me feel awful. My Dr said (which this is before the possibility of PCOS) it was causeing me to pass out and feel light headed constantly. But that was years ago when it was the "diet" to be doing..I will look into that Thanks!!!
