Question 2 things...Pregnancy Tests and Meds. Possibly TMI.

First Question...
Earlier this month, I began a new pill pack following my period (just like normal). On day 3, I missed a pill. I took it again starting the next day. We BD on day 1 of that pack but my husband also does the withdrawal method as I have ovulated through BCP before. I had to stop this pack with 4 active pills left in order to start my period because I had a colposcopy I had to do the following week which would have been right in the middle of my period. The withdrawal period started last Sat and ended late Sunday. It was heavy but only lasted 2 days. Normally my period lasts 4 days. This past monday, I started my new pack. By Wed, I started having thick yellow slightly brown tinged cervical mucus (TMI). My original period (had I not stopped the bc mid pack) would have started Thurs...the day of my colpo. I dont know why, but I didnt think the short period followed by unusual discharge was normal, so I asked my husband to pick up a pregnancy test. He got the Clearblue easy digital one. I took the first test and it said "Pregnant" within 30 seconds and then the results quickly disappeared. So several hours later I took another test and it said "Not Pregnant" (the results are still there).

When I went for my colpo, I let them know what happened and they repeated the urine test (different brand) and confirmed "Negative". I had the colpo and a couple biopsies done and was sent home. Still unsure, I had DH buy another pregnancy kit last night (different brand from the other two I had previously done). I took a test last night and this morning and both were "Negative". Is it just too early to tell? Or am I probably not pregnant? I dont really have any pregnancy symptoms but I didnt have any when I was pregnant with the twins either, so I have no idea.

Second question...

I have been fighting a bad cold for 3 weeks. I finally went to the Dr. yesterday because I'm tired of coughing up yellow junk from my chest. She diagnosed me with Sinusitis and gave me a script for Cipro. I also was put on Wellbutrin for seasonal depression. Several hours after taking the Cipro I started feeling a slightly nauseous. I woke up at about 4 am this morning feeling nauseated too. I know one of the side effects of Cipro is nausea. Has anyone else experienced this? I think I have to take it for 10 days, so I'm not sure if I need to try a different drug or not. I certainly dont want to feel nauseous for that long.

Thanks for your help!!!

I'd say that first digital was a fluke and after having so many (different brands) negative tests you probably aren't pregnant.
I too, took a cb digital. It showed not pregnant after a wait. A week later AF still hadn't started so I took another cb digital. It instantly showed pregnant. That stayed on the test for at least 24 hours.

Sounds like your meds are making you nauseous. I'm not positive, but if it was a drug for sinus problems then possibly the mucus is going back down into your stomach and that could be making you nauseous as well.

If you still have doubts, I'd see your doctor for a blood test.

Try taking it with food or milk to see if that helps with the nausea.

HRkswildcat: I ended up calling the CB Easy company and asked them about the quickly fading positive result. They told me that if it gives a result and fades quickly right after, its a faulty test. So I'm gonna go with negative like you said. I also was thinking about that mucus thing too. I noticed I dont have as much of it today. I'm not sure if the Cipro is designed to dry it up or what, but its possible some of the drainage has gone to my stomach. I'm going to try to take milk with it like Amanda suggested and see if that helps any.

NavyWifeAmanda: I havent taken the Cipro yet this morning, because I was waiting to hear what you guys thought about the symptoms. I'm gonna try it now with milk. Hopefully it wont happen again.

Thanks for your help ladies!!
