Thanks, Kittycat, that's really useful info! When I was ttc my last baby, I had heard about DCI, but heard from some people who were having success with just plain old inositol, and decided to give it a try because it seemed better than doing nothing. I did end up getting regular cycles (for the first time in my life!), Oing and conceiving, so something I did worked.
I'm currently in the "throw the kitchen sink at it" mode, I'm taking about 400mg a day of regular inositol, eating 1/2 c. a day of the farinetta, going to add carob syrup I think, and also am taking Vitex, GTF chromium and L-carnitine, and only eating whole grains and as little sugar as possible and all of it non-refined. I just got my first period pospartum (17 mos. out), but I couldn't tell you if that's a one-off or if things are starting to work again. I'll get back to you in a few months. :-)
Hang in there!

Now doing lo-carb diet, buckwheat farinetta (for DCI), and when I remember to, vitex, gtf chromium, NAC, l-carntitine. And yes, it's working. |
