I've had a trainer twice (I'm I'm getting ready to get another one for boxing...)
The last time I had a trainer, I only worked out with him twice a week, but the workout was so tough that I dropped a size and a half in 6 weeks! It was amazing (but it was a TOUGH workout.)
At the time I was 'moderately' low carbing.
He knew about my pcos, and that's why he trained me harder than his 'regular' clients...he said I'd need it to overcome the syndrome.
My other trainer was not so aggressive...I worked out with her 4 to 5 days a week, and my body didn't really change that much. As torturous as the other guy was...RESULTS was what I was looking for.
Now I'm kickboxing (not tae-bo, the 'real deal' with heavy bags, gloves, etc) and weight training (and getting ready to throw in some yoga.) I'm probably going to get a boxing trainer once a week.
