There are several women who have used Yaz to manage acne with great success. I was on Yasmin (a similar bcp that works via an anti-androgen) for almost six years and it made the acne better, but it never got rid of it.
The only thing that has helped me to get my acne under control to is to address the underlying issue: balance the hormones. I've been on a regimen of supplements, almost daily exercise, and a low gi diet. Although my acne hasn't gone away entirely, it's on its way. I'm hoping to have clear skin by summer 2009.
In either case, you may want to post this question on the BCP board too, where you'll get more responses from women who have had experience with Yaz.

Both keep my skin very clear. Although I have now come off birth control pills and as mentioned above the spots come back when you stop treatment. I am now eating heathly foods and going to a naturopath. I do have some spots but they aren't as bad as before |

I agree with the PP, I have been on BC for years, I went between Yaz and Yasmin, which are similar. While my acne was never terrible, it didn't really go away until I got my hormones under control. I went on a low gi diet, kept up my cardio and strength training, and started Metformin. After doing this for a bit, my hair stopped falling out as much and my skin looks much better! For some, BC might be enough, but getting your hormones under control will only help the situation! Good luck!
