Default 3 numb toes- please help!!

i could really use some insight here..i am not diabetic..but i am overweight... this has beengoing on for a while now... normally when i am excercising or standing in one spot for long time..
my right foot, the three middle toes go numb and cold....its freaking me out!!! my first thought is bad circulation bc of weight..but if thats the case why only 3 toes on one foot?? i am a bit paranoid...should i be worried about it being anything more serious than circulation problems?? i excercised 6 hours ago..and the 3 toes still feel a bit cold and weird...ughs....any thoughts would be appreciated big time!! xoxo jenn

Default Just a Theory...

Well, like I said, this is just a theory. I would think it is related to a nerve, or pressure on a nerve. I have problems with carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrists, and it causes numbness and tingling in three fingers on my hand (middle, ring and pinky.) It is happens when I use my hands and wrists alot. Your problem sounds similar but would probably be from some nerve in your ankle or foot. It couldn't hurt to have it checked out. I don't know whether or not your problem could be serious.

Anyhoo, I hope this helped.

Take Care,
Tracey

Have you been wearing high heels lately? I get this when I have worn high heels a night or two in a row. One time all of my toes were numb for a week after a particularly busy holiday season.

I think it is probably nerve related like girlygirly said.

Have you recently started exercising more? That could be it.

You may want to see a doctor especially since the numbness is more or less regular. Numb toes can be a sign of vitamin B deficiency such as in pernicious anemia or it can also be a sign of neurological problems such as those that occur with multiple sclerosis.

tarsal tunnel is carpal tunnel in the feet.
I get the toes numbing thing too every once in a while. I also have carpal tunnel and thyroid problems which go hand in hand with tarsal tunnel. I only get it when I where certain shoes. So, I'm sure that is what it is.
