3rd Round of Clomid and Prometrium...other suggestions
I'm starting my third month on Prometrium and Clomid and am starting to wondering if I should be trying something else....My first month on 50 mg according to my US my ovaries were only about 11 mm - my second month on 100 mg there were only at 10 mm....if they were growing more each month that's one thing but they're not....has anybody been on Clomid with no success but tried another oral fertility drug - I would like to do everything possible before going to IVF, which my doctor is suggesting if round 3 of Clomid doesn't work! HELP!!
i did 9 rounds of clomid and nothing, upped my dose to 150 and got my bfp (sadly it didnt stick xx)!!!Other ladies are trying femera or soy, you could think about giving one of them a go xx

My dose has continued to be increased - I'm getting ready to start 150 mg - my first month was 50 mg of Clomid...9 rounds, I can't imagine - how do you deal with the emotional ups and downs??
It does get difficult and some months i am hell to live with as i go from being super happy to super devil woman lol. The only thing that helps me through is Paul my fiance, if it wasnt for him id be crazy....well more crazy lol xxx Good luck with the 150, it worked once for me, and all you need is for it to work once honey xxxxx

No i missed a cycle due to AF not coming so i had a whole cycles worth spare, so when i got my new prescription i had some spare indoors, my prescribed amount was 100mg for 5 days so i just took 150mg. as id already had 100mg many times and they never worked!!!!

ah I see makes sense, I think my doctor will end up referring me which doesn't make sense, he wants my df to get another sa and I looked up his numbers and they are pretty good

They did that with me a few times, kept making us go back for sperm analysis and there was never anything wrong with it but i think they just wanted to look like they were trying to help!!! Some of the doctors have no idea what they are going on about! Maybe having you referrred will be better for you, you might get someone willing to help more!!!

Its hard isnt it, My OH only came to the first appointment to do the semen analysis, after that i went on my own so he didnt need to take time off work. so long as they got his sperm to analyse all they need is you!!!! xxx

Yeah that is true, but my df likes to be involved, he likes to go with me so he can be there to understand and support me which is very good just can suck work wise. So if you don't mind me asking is that your daughter and you are trying for another

Yes thats my gorgeous little lady, i had her when i was 16, before the pcos kicked in properly! My first time at sex would you believe! But im thankful for her, even more now its so hard to have another. Paul is brilliant with her and she calls him dad but it would just be so nice to have a baby with him. and to give amy a sibling!!! A friend of mine called me greedy and i should be greatful i have one, its difficult to answer something like that.
But i am so greatful for Amy, she is perfect and id never change her,
but it doesnt stop me wanting a baby, i never got to enjoy being pregnant or being a new mom as my mum was embarrased by me being pregnant so i couldnt tell folk, and no one was allowed to talk about it, then when amy came along i got pushed out as i was only 16, wasnt until she was 6 months i got her all to myself! So i just wanna be able to enjoy the whole thing, sickness and all...lol.
Paul was the same as your dh, he wanted to come to all appointments at first but it was easier to go alone and keep notes for him to read when he got in, he'd ring me as soon as my appointment finshed to check on me anyway. and he comes to the important ones like my last one where they said there was nothing else i culd try, as i needed him to hold me or id have broke down!!!
I have been ttc since around 2000 and I did manage to get a bfp back in april this year on clomid, but it ended at 12 weeks with a m/c and since then nothing.
Not sure what im doing next xx
