Yes! I feel better! I was always tired, my joints ached, muscle twitches in my legs (mostly). Basically I felt like I could barely go. I ached all over. The back pain, especially in the morning was excruciating. It was two hours (after I got out of bed) before I could pick up my baby girl in the mornings. My husband had to take care of her until my back stopped screaming and it eventually would.
I also had major anxiety. Because of all this I was depressed. When I got down on the floor to play with my little girl, I had to crawl to a chair or something to help me get up. I tried to avoid any situation that would require my getting on the floor. My legs were so weak. Just days after taking Synthroid I didn't have to do that anymore. I could spring up from where I was.
My hypothyroidism had also caused my cholesterol to go up. My total cholesterol was 233 and my LDL was 160. Two weeks after synthroid they were down to 157 and 75.
I started losing weight what seemed like immediately. It was like I was bloated all over.
I didn't really believe when the doctor said my thyroid was affecting my body in so many ways, especially my cholesterol. I was so surprised when they were soooo much lower in just two weeks.
At two weeks and at 3 weeks after taking synthroid my TSH was still 4.4. I will be surprised if it comes down any more.
I wonder if I would feel even better if TSH was around two?
