I just heard on the news that there is a 40 car pile-up on the eastbound 401 East of Toronto.

I heard that a tanker truck was involved and that it exploded, white out conditions . . and that the air ambulance can't land anywhere near the scene. The police are saying multiple fatalities.

I hope all our cysters out there in the Toronto/Cobourg area are okay.

Lori - As far as I know it happened shortly before 1pm EST. I was watching Global and they started cutting into programming just after 1.

Well, I watched the CTV National News last night at 11 and it was the second story on there . .and I'm sure that Global had it on their 11pm news too . . . so I don't know what channels you watch . . lol

although . .they are no longer saying a 40 car pile up . . . I think they said 20-25 now . . . . and there were 4 fatalities . .not multiple . like the original report said.

We just have better news to report
I ended up seeing a glimpse of it on the news at 11:30 (2:30 am your time) last night.
It really is sad. My thoughts go out to the families involved.
I remember way back when there was a crash on the 401 by London and there was a mother who could only stand back and watch her daughter die...how sad is that.
