Has anyone had to only take 5 days of provera??
If I remember the past times I've taken it, it's always been for at least 10 days. The pills are 10mg pills, but it's just weird it's only for 5 days. I hope this 5 days of pills work cause if it does the timing might work for us to try with this new cycle. Oh it does.
Hi, I'm completely new to this, so I don't know if my answer will help at all.
I'm on 7 days provera (first time use), and will continue with Clomid on CD5. I've just been diagnosed with PCOS last month, and my gyn advised me to go to the fertility specialist (who prescribed me the provera & clomid). I've started taking provera 3 days ago, so I'm with you hoping that it will work!
How long does it normally take you to start AF after stopping Provera? My specialist suggested 7 days. When on BCP, my AF started 4 days after the last pill... so I wonder if there's any similarity?
If I remember correctly, when I've taken provera I'd take 10 days worth & about 2-3 days later I'd start. Taking only the 5 days is new to me, so I gotta wait it out & see when af decides to show. I know she's right around the corner cause I've been moody & pms'ing really bad, so she better show so I can't get over it & maybe do clomid or femara this cycle & have a really good excuse for being moody or not.
Good luck to ya
Well af showed today. I'm glad that she finally showed. Timing is off so I don't think we will do clomid this cycle.

OMG!! Mine showed up today too! I'm very glad as I stopped Provera only 2 days ago... I'll continue with Clomid on CD5-9...
What do you mean by your timing is off?
Hey, my dr. put me on Provera 10 mg for 7 days. Six days later (yesterday) I started my cycle. Tody is the 2nd day, but not even enough flow to reach a pad. Makes me nervous. should it be this light? Plus it is causing serious pain in my ovaries!

My timing is off due to work schedule. I'm an emt & work with the local ambulance company & we work 24 hr shifts & I work mon-fri. So I can't just take off a day to go to the doc cause we don't get paid vacation/sick leave. I'm taking next week off work for the holiday cause my parents are coming to visit & if I got af a few days earlier then maybe during that week we could have dealt with the u/s's that we could have done if we could have done the clomid/femara this cycle. Now I'm just waiting for my appt on monday & see what the doc suggests we do & see how the timing can work out. My schedule is changing for december cause we're losing an employee so not sure how the next cycle will work. So we'll see how things go.
I'm glad to know that someone else is at about the same point in their cycle. I hope we get our bfp's soon.

My DR put me on five days of Provera 10mg too. My last pill was Sunday and no AF as of yet. I'm a little sad. It normally takes me three to five days before AF shows. I have no signs of AF at all. My OB put me on it so I could get a HSG test. I'm so nervous- maybe that is hindering it. I hope I start very very soon.
