Default 5 Weeks on Met and NEW side affects

I'm a bit suprised that after 5 weeks on Met, I'm experiencing a new set of side affects. I've been on the same dose for over 2 weeks and didn't initially have problems. New symptoms include: lethargy/fatigue, mild muscle soreness, and dry mouth at night (so bad I wake up every 2 hours and drink..even though I'm drinking 8 glasses during the day).

Did anyone else have delayed side affects?

I did have some muscle aches on regular Met but I swited to ER and they got better and so did the runs to the potty. However, wanting to drink in the middle of the night was not an issue for me. If you eat alot of salt that will make you thirsty........Met has helped me as far as my mood swings go, I am pretty level. Other than that I probably am not helping you much! Sorry.

ME TOO!! I get up thirsty as though I've been licking sawdust all night!! This just started getting really bad about 2 weeks ago. I have such a dry mouth!! I've been on Met for about 2 months now.

I have had that same problem too. All I was drinking all day was water and I had some sore muscles. I called my doctor and she did a blood test and found out that my potassium was low. She told me at first when your are drinking all of this water you feel thirsty and you pee a lot and your potsssium level goes down, which causes the sore muscles. She told me to eat banannas and take some childres chewable vitamins. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks for the tip on the potassium!
