Default 5 weeks pregnant but bleeding for a week

I got my first ever BFP on Dec19th. Had my beta drawn on the 20th it was 7300. Christmas Eve I started spotting brown which turned red so I went to the ER. They did a beta and and U/S. My beta was 7800 and the U/S showed a gestational sac with a yolk sac implanted in the uterus. I went back a few days later and my beta was 8500. Well I'm still spotting/bleeding but no clots or tissue and no cramps. Does this sound like anyone elses miscarriage? How long will this go on?

I know this may not help, but my sister is 4 months pregnant and still bleeds on ocassion. My mother bled through most of her 5th pregnancy. I guess she was told some people just bleed through thier pregnancies, But not severly. I would just call your doc, i am sure you may just be one of those people

pcosdc: i am praying that your bean sticks. Bleeding does not necessarily mean miscarriage. I had late mc at 20 weeks with twins and had bleeding around week 8 for a few days . I just went into premature labor. I would pay more attention to betas and ultrasounds and not be concerned over bleeding. With my last 3 mc, i had bleeding. I am praying for you and little bean. I miss being on the august due date thread with you!

Hi Keva! How are you doing? I don't have a great feeling about this pregnancy but I am ready to accept whatever happens.

kristy this last mc has been really tough for me. I had my mc around 5 weeks and cried for nearly a week everyday. dh felt like since i was only 5 weeks, 1 day was enough to grieve. i feel as if this last mc has somehow put a strain on our relationship. Maybe because this is my 5th mc, i am feeling like i dont know if i can continue to go through this again. I am losing my hope of having a healthy child on my own without some type of treatment such as ivf, meds, or something. i am just lost and heartbroken over the possibility of never being a mom.

I am so sorry. There is no equation for the amount of time it takes to grieve. So you are able to get pregnant without assistance? I don't know how many miscarriages I could take. You are amazingly strong.

This is my first pregnancy (and will be my first loss if I do indeed m/c) I left the thread for Aug due dates. It was too hard to read about the other pregnancy's. I just wish I knew one way or the other. The waiting is killing me.

Just take it one day at a time. Talk to your doc and she what he says. If everything looks to be fine, then try not to stress.

When I miscarried at 5 weeks, it was obvious because it felt mike some one took a butcher knife to my stomach. The bleeding was very heavy and I could hardly straighten up or walk on my own. I hope that vtmommy is right and you are just having bleeding that won't affect anything.

Oh, I'm so sorry you're going through all this stress. TBH, those numbers worry me a little- but NOTHING is certain right now, there is still hope! And I won't tell my whole story again here, but suffice it to say that you can suffer huge amounts of blood loss and the bean can still hang on.

I hope it works out.

I just happened to pop in....

PCOSDC- As long as your doctor isn't overly concerned you shouldn't be either. The stress will not help you. My mom bled until she was 5 months pregnant with all three of her children. Im praying for you and your little one, stay strong.

KHENDERS- My heart goes out to you. I lost my daughter in the end of third Trimester... I had 24 hrs with her before god took her back. 5 wks is no different for women like us who have problems evening concieving and keeping a pregnancy.. A day would never be enough to express the sorrow for the loss of a life. Men deal with things differently... Don't feel worse about needing to grieve there is no Time limit.... and stay strong... I lost count of lost pregnancy after about 6-7 mc. But you know what after trying and losing so many times in the last 6 yrs.. Im Currently almost 31 wks pregnant and for once everything with my pregnancy is OK. The doctor says He's going to be healthy. DON'T GIVE UP. Your time will come god willing I promise.

BLOWING YOU ALL GOOD LUCK AND BABY DUST!!!
