Default Is 500 mg/day of Met enough for anyone?

I really hope so! I keep trying to up my dose but I end up feeling so fatigued (I've been on on it for abt 3 monthes now) that I ultimately have to bump back down. Even at 500 mg I feel extra tired but nothing compared to 750 mg and 1000 mg. When I get tested bf Met I had a fasting insulin 0f 4 and testerone level of 31 which is a little high I guess but not outrageously high. Could it be possible that 500 mg is all I need? I've always consistently gotten my periods but mycycle used to be every 35-40 days long. Now it is every 30-31 days but very light in length 3 days tops. And my FSH/LH ratio was greater than 2:1 which prob means I'm not ovulating. Also have acne and loss of hair.

Was anyone who had maybe mild PCOS able to efectively start ovulating on 500 mg/day?

thanks
lata

Well your insulin isnt high so that is good. Your testosterone isnt that high if it is high at all. I am not sure what it is suppost to be. Have you tried to take 500mg in the morning and the other 500mg at night before bed time. What about switching to the ER form? I am not sure if 500mg would do the trick or not.

You are welcome I hope it works. I take 4 pills 2000mg a day and I take them all at different times. Most people dont do it like that but that is the only way my body can handle it. If I miss a dose and have to take 2 at once I do it at night so I dont feel the effects.
