Default 60+ days of AF, when to go to the doc?

Need some advice from those who may have had this experience.

I gave birth to twins- 6 months ago today!!! How time flies..I could talk about them forever..butt...

I had a period about 60 days after giving birth. Perftect!!

Then skipped a month. Started again in early September and still going strong!! It was just spotting for a while- but now its a full AF.

I'm taking met (although I forget it half the time!).

Has anyone ever seen thier OB or Endo for this? What will they do? I DON"T want to go on the pill. I had my tubes tied (I have a six year old too- I'm done in the baby department.)

Help.......

Sounds like you need to get really faithful with taking the met. If you forget it as much as you indicate then your insulin levels could be interfering with your other hormones. In the meantime, I would ask your doctor for some progesterone to stop your period. 60 days of bleeding is WAY too long!

Goodness! If it were me, I'd at least call the dr! BEtter to be safe than sorry. Maybe there's some residual effect from carrying the twins and/or the delivery. Don't you work with drs? Isn't there someone you could ask w/o having to go to the dr? Hope you get the answers you need soon and hey, update us on the mommy board about your girls!
