I just got back from my 7w2d ultrasound and it hurt! But I'm even more nervous now than I was before. I feel like someone drained out all my happy...
She saw the sac, which is in a good place and a good size. She thinks she saw the yolk sac, which I sure did see. But she couldn't quite see the fetal pole or a definite heart beat. She says it's too early and it wasn't "good or bad". I have an appointment next Thursday for a follow up. She says if nothing has changed then it's not good, but if there are changes then that's good.
I'm really nervous now. My doctor warned me I wouldn't see a heart beat yet, so I had mentally prepared myself for that, but still, not seeing it just makes me feel so weak and on edge...
I just wish I could know everyting is okay... To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I know it's hard, last week I was 5w4d and no hb. Yesterday, I was 6w3d and there was just a tiny flicker of a heart, but no hb sound. It is too early and i freaked out the entire week from my first sono to yesterday and I know how you feel, but everything is ok. I am trying to relax and I hope you do the same! don't stress the baby!! sticky dust to you!
I hope you ladies are right, thank you so much for your encouragement. I'm feeling sadly disconnected all of sudden. I'm not sure what to be thinking or feeling during this week. It's going to be torture.

All of my vaginal u/s actually hurt when the would go towards my left ovary and he couldn't explain why. If she couldn't get a def. look at the h/b doesn't mean it's not there, just still early. Keep your head up sweetie!

i know exactly how you feel same happened to me today at 7wks,just gest sac and yolk sac!!! i have another u/s 11/13.i pray that we are both blessed next week!!!
This is the worst part. The first few weeks are definitely the longest. I remember thinking I should have appreciated all my 2ww's because none of them compared to the agony of the first few weeks. I don't know what to tell you guys other than i've been through it and its horrible. Its impossible to relax, its the first thing you think of when you wake up, and you worry that every twinge or cramp is something bad. Of course you worry the whole pregnancy, but after the first trimester things ease up tremendously. You start to really enjoy it. You guys will be sporting a baby bump soon, keep the faith! Good luck!

I had an US at 5 weeks and saw no fetal pole either. OB said it would not show up until at least 8 weeks and even warned me beforehand about it. I was not concerned since I had an US with DD at around the same timeframe of my pregnancy and saw the same thing. The following US definately I knew there was a baby in there To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
I had a transvag US too and although it did not hurt this time, the frist time did cause some slight pain for me.
I am sure you will be just fine. I know its easier said then done when a: its your first and you really dont know what to expect and b: seems like time is going sooo slowly until your next US To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
My next US is nov 13th too and honestly, although I have only known I am pregnant for 2 weeks, feels like months have gone by! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Thank you so much for the support and encouragement, ladies! I'm feeling much better today.
It was strange just how much the u/s hurt. She couldn't get a clear picture of anything except my right ovary. My left she could never find, and she couldn't get a truly clear picture of what was inside the sac because she couldn't get to the right depth. That's helping me somewhat, as is knowing I was a late implanter/ slow starter.
The wait until next Thursday will be brutal, but we're going on a mini trip on Sunday for a few days so that should help distract me.
Smokeyd, I wish you the best too! Keep me posted on yours!
