I just had an u/s on cd16 for my first round of clomid 50 mg. The dr saw around 8 follies that were around 23mm. He said we have a really good chance this month but also the chance of twins or triplets. I was just wondering if anyone else had this many follies and what was your outcome?
i am starting my first round of clomid - is this your first? how are you feeling about the possible multiples outcome? i'd be excited! what great chances you have then!

Yes this is my first time on clomid...DH and I have been ttc for 20 months...I am a little worried about multiples...I already have 2 kids from a previous relationship and not sure if we could handle anything more than twins...I know my kids (ages 9 and 7) would be a big help though.
Wow that's great though to have that high of a chance on your first round! I'm sure multiples are a scary thought with 2 kiddos already in the house but I'm sure you'd make the best of it!

Thanks....the dr said I definately wouldn't need to ever be on more than 50mg since I was almost overstimulated....Hopefully I won't need to take it again.
Thanks! I hope my body responds well to Clomid - definitely makes me a little nervous but excited as well! Let me know what your outcome is when you get news!

I think I am about 12 dpo...I had a fever during the time I should have O'd, so no idea for sure when I did. I've gotten BFNs on 10dpo and 12dpo....I've been having symptoms off and on...really thirsty, frequent urination, tender stomach, increased cm (keep thinking I've started AF)..but then today DH and I bded and I had just a tinge of blood afterwards when I wiped..TMI...lol...so I'm not sure what is going on...looking back on my charts, on the months that I o'ed my cycle was 33 days even though my LP was different each time, so hopefully I'm just testing too early.
Well thanks for the update!! I just had my CD14 U/S after 1st round of Clomid CD3-7. My follies weren't as excited as yours! I have 1 that is still too "immature" lol. She wanted me to come in for another U/S on Friday but I'm out of state (UGH & we *never* travel) so we're kinda on our own to just "do our thing" and see what happens. Hopefully you'll be able to post about an awesome BFP soon! Let us know!

Good luck with your one follie...hopefully you will have more luck than I did...spotting heavier today and temp drop, so af should be here tomorrow....sooooo frustrating and depressing...got my hopes up too high this month...was all worried about multiples and then nothing..
Thanks... I know we get our hopes up... but we have to. I'm so sorry no BFP this month but all we can do is keep hope and stick this out with the support of our cysters! keep me posted!

Wow I have never heard of 8 very mature follies with clomid. That is just awesome!! The most I ever had was 2 and they were 24 and 33mm two days before I ovulated.
Sorry about AF coming.... is there anyway you can do an IUI next cycle? Clomid usually only works for a couple/few cycles then your body stops responding... so mabey next cycle an IUI would up your chances, as clomid can often give you hostile CM, and without any fertile CM you can have all the follies in the world but it can be very hard for the sperm to get to them.

I know that the dr wants me to take a break from the clomid this month to rest my ovaries. I guess I'll have to talk to him about the IUI. My husband has slow swimmers anyway. They are fine by the 3 hr mark but start out slow. It kind of depends on the cost too. My appt. for the u/s was $300 and insurance doesn't cover anything.
I was wondering if you had a different period while on clomid. I spotted for two days, bled heavy for half a day, and then medium for 1 day and 2 more days of spotting. My period normally lasts 6 days and heavy for most of it. Was kind of weird to only have a 2 day actual period. I'd take clomid every month if it makes my periods shorter and lighter...lol.
