I had a friend who had a 63lb cyst on her right ovary. Had been growing for a VERY long time all through her childhood. Her mom would never make her go in and finally myself and my cousin talked her into going to the doctor. After giving her a pregnancy test (everyone always thought she was pregnant) and it coming up negative, she had an U/S and they found it then. It was amazing and the biggest one they're ever seen. They took massive pictures of it and gave her some as well. She was VERY insecure about it.
This is my same friend I posted about recently that never knew she was preg. until a week before she was due.
WOW!! I've heard of that too! There is a lady my mom knows who had a HUGE cyst (don't know how much it weighed) and she too looked pregnant. They were able to save her uterus during the operation so that she may be able to have children one day. My ob I had for dd was the dr who did her surgery! It was shortly after my dd was born too.

Lets hope the women is now on the mend, but it do make you wonder if there are any other women who are just simply told to loose weight when there is more of an underlaying cause like this women.

Hi serenity1981 ~ I thought the same thing, except my mind when to P.C.O.S. what a surprise! Especially when I looked at her on the news video. She sounded so much like some of our cysters in so many ways I'm amazed this woman hasn't posted here as a member!
I imagine there aren't too many of our cysters ~ other than the thin cysters ~ who have not been told that losing weight would be the "answers to all our prayers", like we haven't tried that before!! Wow what a good idea?!!
I hope someone contacts her and tells her about P.C.O.S. while she's in the news, maybe it will bring out our Syndrome into the eye of the world that watched this?
Btw, think of this... My 15 yr. old DS weighs LESS than her tumour! He is under 80 lbs.!! Incredible thought, don't you think? Fuzzy Bear
