Question Abdominal Cramping with Met

Hi girls,

Did anyone experience any abdominal cramping when starting Met? I started 500 once a day two weeks ago, and I get like this pulling/cramping feeling in my abdomen, nothing major or painful, just kind of weird...

Yes, I get tummy cramps with met, they usually start to settle down in a couple months for me, but for some people it takes longer and others shorter time periods to adjust to metformin.

When I took it the first time, the pain was horrible. And so was the running to the bathroom. I had to stop taking it because of it. I wasn't on it very long. Then I started taking something else, which didn't have such bad side effects, but I went off it for some reason (I'm horrible about keeping up with medication).

But soon I'll be going back on something because I really need to.
