I was just wondering when the bleeding would stop? The doctor never spoke to me after the procedure. It's been 12 days. I'll have 24 hrs with nothing, and then the bleeding starts again. Not alot, but I just wondered when it will stop for good. Sorry if TMI.

Hi Jennie
I am so sorry for your loss. If you are still bleeding every 24 hours after 12 days I would call your Dr. just to check in. When I had my d&c they said to expect bleeding/spotting for about 1 week. Then there should be nothing till AF. But I know some women here seemed to experience more bleeding on and off for a longer time.

Jennie, I only bled on and off for about 3 - 4 days. I saw my doctor for a follow-up visit 2 weeks after the procedure. I would also suggest calling your doctor. I'm so sorry about your loss. ((hugs)) I hope you find peace after going through such an ordeal.

I would call your doctors office just to check.
I had very little bleeding, nothing for 3 days, then an AF like bleeding for 7 days.
2 weeks later I had another 3 days of mostly brown bleeding.
A followup appointment with my GYN a month after the procedure.
A full on heavy painful AF about 6/7 weeks after the D & C.
I'm so sorry about your loss. It really is worth a quick phone call to check that it is normal. They may call you in for a check-up.

I bled, "AF" type, for about 5 days.

Had a follow-up visit with cervical check at 7 days past D&C and spotted a bit after that.

O'd without meds (not even Metformin) at 21 days past D&C and then had AF about 12-13 days after that.

I only had spotting for 2-3 days after my D&C..then AF showed up about 6-7 weeks later.

Hi, I'm new here (to posting, have been lurking for a while).

I'm sorry for everybody's losses. I had a d&c in February this year (no heartbeat at 8 weeks), and found that I bled heavily and painfully for a week - I knew something was wrong, and ended up having to go back a week later for a second d&c. After that one, the bleeding cleared up pretty quickly.

I had AF after 6 weeks, started clomid, and haven't o'd since! (59 days and counting).
