Question ???? about depression (hope someone can help)

OK, my question is pretty straight forward.

Once in a while (usually on a weekend when everyone is home), I will feel really down. It feels like I have trouble getting my eyes to stay open. I don't feel like eating (and I love to eat), spending time with DH or the kids.

Does this sound like depression? Or is it not considered because it only lasts for one day???

I will be going to the Dr sometime within the next month and will mention it, but thought I'd ask here first.

Thanks for the help.

Alethea

It could be depression. It could also be that since it is the weekend you need a break from the rat race during the week.

I would bring it up

I would say that since it's only a few scattered days it can't be clinical depression. How often do these days occur? Every week? Either way talking to your Dr. couldn't hurt.

I agree with Kathy...maybe you're just stressed out and have a lack of energy. God knows I've been there! Maybe take some time to relax and get some peace and quiet?

Well, the kids are at school all day and I'm home by myself. I thin I'll start keeping track of how often. I think they are about once a month, just before Af.

I usually go through a spout of depression right before my period too! I've read on these boards about other cysters that go through the same thing. I'd be interested in knowing how they cope.
