Hi! I haven't posted in a really long time. At first I thought I had PCOS for sure, then I thought maybe I didn't. Now I'm thinking maybe I do have it after all. It took me FOREVER to get my period after going off BCPs. Now I have cycles that range between 38 and 54 days. I had b/w done (FSH, LH, E2, TSH, and prolactin). Everything was normal. My LH was a teensy bit high, but my GYN said that it did not qualify as the greater than 2:1 ratio, and he also said he questioned whether or not it was even accurate since I was annovulatory at the time. I also had an U/S of my ovaries done, and it was normal. My Dr. doesn't think I have PCOS because I am thin. Also, I think I have mild hirsutism, but he disagreed with me. I will be going back to the Dr. on Monday, and I was wondering if there were any other tests I could request to rule out PCOS. My cycles should be straight after 2 years I would think. Also, we've been TTC for over a year, and no luck, so I think something is going on... Thanks in advance!
Thanks, Anuta!
I have charted for each of the cycles, and I think I must be ovulating because there is a definite temperature shift. I will request the fasting IR. Does anyone know how long you have to fast beforehand? I was thinking I would fast Sunday night and Monday morning before I go to the doctor just in case...
That's great that you are ovulating! Let's hope you don't have PCOS, its such a nasty thing...
I don't know about the IR test; I have never had one done. My doctor is an OBGYN and I don't think she is in the business of curing PCOS, but she'll help me get PG with ovulation drugs...
Have you tested your husband for the TTC business? Even though I clearly have a problem, my doctor insists on doing a sperm analysis on my husband before she starts treating me....

We hadn't thought of having my husband tested until recently (amazingly enough). We just assumed it was me because of my crazy cycles! There are so many things that can go wrong it almost seems impossible to tease it all apart. Frustrating!
