Default ? About Omega 3

I know that EFAs help with our symptoms, and they've made a huge difference in how I feel. I'd always taken a regular Omega 3/6 supplement, but then my doc warned me about mercury levels (I was pregnant). So I've been looking for an Omega supplement that is mercury-free. I found one at CVS, but it costs $30 a month! The ones I found online were even more expensive.

I was in Trader Joe's yesterday, and I found one that's "distilled." Apparently they filter out the heavy metals like mercury. And it's only $8 for a two-month supply.

So, is distilled as good as the "mercury-free?"

Default Thanks!

I keep reading conflicting things about whether borage oil and flaxseed are okay during pregnancy, so I'm trying to stay away from them (I'd rather already be taking safe stuff by the time I'm pregant again). So I'm looking for a fish-based oil.

I added flaxseed to EVERYTHING for awhile until I started doing research, and it did make a big difference for me.

My doctor gave me a bottle of OmegaRX Ultra-refined Fish Oil Supplement. I take 4 capsules a day.

1 capsule:

4000mg of Fish oil Concentrate
1600mg EPA
800 DHA

Now that I look at is close the DHA is DocosaHEXAenoic. I guess that is the HExane huh? Well I dont know if it is good for me or not but he asked me to take them and I wont be getting pregnant anytime soon so I guess I will take them for now.
