Default Absent Periods and Acupuncture.

Hello,

Just wanted to post a quick message for anyone whose symptoms include not getting any periods at all.

I had been like this for a year and was feeling desperate and really worried about it.

I tried acupuncture and it worked! They did a mixture of acupuncture treatment and gave me herbs to drinks and I got my first natural period 2 weeks afterward and since then I have have pretty regular periods (touch wood) which is pretty amazing for me. I mean I am still struggling with losing weight and the other symptoms but at least it is a start.

Anyway, sorry just wanted to post this for anyone who was thinking of acupuncture and wasn't sure about it.

Bexy, can you share with us what acupucturist you went to and where they are located?

I went twice to an acupuncture/shiatsu guy and got my period immediately afterwards (after not having it for four months) but I also started metformin around a month and a half before that... so I don't know which to attribute it to.

Hiya Bonbonthegogo

My first round of treatment I went in Hong Kong (my folks live there) but after that I went to and acupunturist in Wandsworth it is call the Wimbledon Herbal Centre on Garatt Lane.

They are very experienced and were trained in china.

I know that metformin is meant to work but I was on it for 6 months with no effect and acupuncture and herbal medecine has seemed to have an effect.

I hope this helps.

Hi ladies,

I'm glad it worked for you so fast. It took 6 months for me to get the correct herbal combo with accupuncture and diet that brought AF back. But she's been regular ever since.

Hello Ladies..

I am also thinking about accupunture... and am looking for a good clinic in the area. I have not had a period for a year either!

I was also on Met for about six months... and it did not help. This was while I was in the USA but can't get on it here. (UK)

I'm hoping that accupunture will help... I hope so!

Congrats Bexy

I had the same problem as you. After several years of no natural period I decided to do accupuncture along with taking vitex agnus castus. After two sessions I had my period. Also i suffred with sleeplessness and this has really helped. I recommend it to anyone.
