 Acanthosis nigricans - pink in color?
I know that acanthosis nigricans usually is a dark color such as brown or black. However, I have recently developed a red ring around the front of my neck that does not seem to be a rash. Can acanthosis nigricans manifest itself as a pink color in very pale-skinned individuals?
Also, I tested negative for IR about 3 years ago. I have not been tested since. Should I insist that I be re-tested? I have already been prescribed met to regulate my cycles, but can't take it due to an allergy. So if I am IR at this point, there is little I can do to keep things under control without an Rx for a new anti-diabetic. |
