Default Acanthosis nigricans and stress

My Acanthosis nigricans seams to react to stress. They fade after a treatment of cortisone. But then they come back again and it seams it coincides with stress levels in my life. They are also not completely dark patches but red rash that are dark in the edges. First I thought it was Candida but it isn't. I also get the red rash om my eyelids. First I though it was allergy but now I believe its is an as well.

Anyone recognize this?

On your eyelids it could be eczema. My AN is under my arms, and it stays the same. I have lots of red in my skin, so mine looks more red than brown.

I had eczema a couple of summers ago on my eyelids and under my eyes. I have no idea what caused it. I changed to mineral makeup, and stopped using anything containing fragrance on my face, and it stopped flaring up.

Be careful using cortisone on your face. It can cause other problems. You really shouldn't use it for more than a week. If you need to use it longer than that, I suggest you see a Dermatologist.

My AN only reacts to my IR getting better, loosing weight, better diet, hormone fluctuations, etc.

Stress can however make your hormones get worse, which can cause IR to get worse I think (not positive).
