The best way to find out is to call your insurance and make sure it's covered under your plan. The employers work out what is covered in the plans they offer their employees, so just because BC/BS for example covers it for one person, that doesn't mean someone else who has BC/BS thru a different company will be covered. My old insurance only covered it for pain management if nothing else worked for you.
That said, you may be able to submit it to your FSA or HSA. That's what I do. So at least you get some tax savings.
I find it hard to figure out who is good/bad. I have read that you should look for one who is also an MD, so they will be knowledgable about Western medical diagnoses. I used one who was also an ob/gyn in conjunction with my last IVF cycle. She was amazing and I believe acu helped me (my daughter just turned one).
I moved and am still looking as we TTC#2. I went to one lady twice but last time all of the needles hurt going in and the one in my forehead gave me a headache. I now have another appt with a guy who actually specializes in fertility issues. I found
this site on another board - if you do the advanced search, you can choose ones who specialize in infertility.
