OK, here's the deal. I'm getting married in less than a year, and I need a clear face.

My derm. tried me on doxycline or something like that, it didn't work. Now I'm on monocycline (or something like that), and he said that if it didn't work, I should maybe try accutane.

So, I've been checking up on Accutane, and I haven't heard anybody mention anything about gaining any weight while on this antibiotic.

Has anybody gained weight while on this pill? Has anybody lost weight while on this pill? Lord only knows I don't need to gain any when I'm trying to lose.

I took it about 15 years ago. No weight issues at all with accutane. In fact since I still get one monthy cyst, Im going to ask my derm to put me on another round of it. I have no weight concerns at all this time. I don't think it has an effect on weight .
