Default acid reflux

Hi all,

How are you all doing?

I am suffering bad with Acid Reflux... It all started last month when I upped my dose of metforim... I had to stop taking it altogether 11-12 days ago as it got so bad... doctor put me on losepine for a week. But because I am TTC I dont really wanna be taking tabs... I am trying to be good diet wise and avoid a lot of foods... but today I only had porridge so far and the burning in throat has started. I havent touched any bad carbs or bread of any type in 4 days... I only drink water and rarely alcohoal.

Has metforim causes this I wonder? I am afraid it wont heal... any tips? help?

I use Prilosec, it's been a God-send to me. I just take one in the morning and I rarely every have heartburn. I used to have it every day, it seemed no matter what I ate. If you have good insurance, it can be covered at the pharmacy with just reg. co-pay. It's also available OTC. Just continue to take it past the 14 days it says. I have never known anyone to quit taking them after the two weeks and not have heartburn again.

It's the best pill I have taken for it and I have had acid relux for as long as I can remember.

Check with your Dr about conflicts, but I haven't heard of any.

Have a wonderful new Dr., she is covering every base and I feel safe in her hands.
I start all of my tests next week, will be thinking of them leading to a baby so they will seem worth it.

I have bad acid reflux that started when I got an ulcer 2 years ago...or did the acid reflux cause the ulcer?...I'm not too sure...anyway I was put on ulcer meds for a week or two and it helped some but I still get it sometimes. So like tink, during those periods of time, I use a long-lasting time released antacid. Also, make sure that you aren't ingesting too much acidic things like citric fruits and pop and such. Did they check you for an ulcer?

I have it all the time. Look online for an acid reflux diet plan, and also, strange things that you might not think of may cause it, like chocolate! Also, for me I take Organic Apple Cider Vinegar before I eat (2-3 tsp in water) and I try and eat slower and fewer amounts of food.
Good luck!
