I use Prilosec, it's been a God-send to me. I just take one in the morning and I rarely every have heartburn. I used to have it every day, it seemed no matter what I ate. If you have good insurance, it can be covered at the pharmacy with just reg. co-pay. It's also available OTC. Just continue to take it past the 14 days it says. I have never known anyone to quit taking them after the two weeks and not have heartburn again.
It's the best pill I have taken for it and I have had acid relux for as long as I can remember.
Check with your Dr about conflicts, but I haven't heard of any.
