Question acidophilus for reoccurring yeast infections

Does anyone regularly take acidophilus for reoccurring yeast infections? I am having trouble getting them frequently and a friend recommended this to me but didn't know how much, how often, or when would be best to take them. Anybody have any suggestions on how to take the acidophilus or any other things that may help? I check my blood sugar about 1-2 times a day because I have low blood sugar, and the highest its ever been is 114, EVER. So I'm not concerned about it being because of high blood sugars. The meds always clear it up easily, so I'm not really concerned that its something else either. I just get them often lately. My insulin was high when my labs came back, so I'm assuming that its because of that and me starting Met. I would just like to find something that will help keep me from getting them so much.
TIA!

I had them off and on for almost 2 years and was popping diflucan like candy. I tried the acidophilus and it was good but you have to get the kind that needs refrigeration.
The thing that helped me the most was having a compunding pharmacy make boric acid suppositories, and it is much cheaper than the acidophilus. I never had them recurring again after that but once it was better I did start taking oral nystatin daily. Have you ever read "The yeast connection and the woman? It has fabulous info on women with systematic yeast and it relates it to getting pregnant, depression and several other things. It is a good read if you have recurring yeast.

Default & pregnancy??

Hi. Can you take acidophilous during pregnancy? I have had a yeast problem for about a year now (in the gut and vaginally) I am doing acidophiolous two times a day...was thinking of nystatin but probably can't do that with pregnancy?

Hi. I have been taking it for 7 months now & havent had a problem with yeast infections or yeast rashes since. My doctor told me to take it twice daily for about a week & then once daily. I take one every day and I would highly recommend taking it. It has helped me ALOT.
