Default Ack! Blood sugar of 33

Yesterday I didn't stick to my diet 100% as I was doing a lot of cooking for the Super Bowl and nibbling as I went along. I made the HUGE mistake of taking my insulin before checking my blood sugar, and about 20 minutes later, I started to feel just aweful. I checked my blood sugar and it was 33! EEK! So, I did the 15 Carbs of juice and ate dinner immediately, and that brought it back up to normal. Kinda scary though.

My question is, if you have ever had a blood sugar level this low, did it seem to mess up your sugar the next day? I woke up this morning with a blood sugar of 122 which is high in the AM for me. I was thinking maybe having it go so low might have just thrown me totally off?

Any thoughts?

Wow! I think the lowest I ever got was a 56 when I was on insulin. And I know it messed me up because in my attempt to make it right it went super high.
I think when you have a low dip like that it can very well mess you up, but I'm not 100% sure since I only took insulin for a brief period of time.

As a nurse in a nursing home, I can say that sometimes when a person gets out of whack with their sugar it takes a while to get back to baseline
