I was looking at my skin thismorning, and i noticed that im only getting the acne mainly around my chin, where i get the really bad thick facial hair. Im wondering if maybe the acne is caused by the hair trying to come through?
Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone had electrolisis or anything and noticed the acne has disappeared too?
ooo, i meant to ask too whether anyone who's had the electrolsis found it helped much and is it painful? Im considering getting some next year if the Meform doesnt work to the extent i want it too.

I believe I read that when your testosterone levels are elevated you tend to get acne around the jawline and hairline. I know it is always true for me and has nothing to do with hair growth.

oh.. and I have had electrolisis and never had acne there before or after treatment.
I have my acne on my chin where I remove hair. I've always thought that the actual hair removing process (I shave or wax) irritates the skin and makes me more likely to break out. Now that I think about it, I occasionally get a pimple or two on my eyebrows where hair is growing back in from plucking/waxing, so there has to be a connection. My skin up there isn't even oily.
I used to get a lot of spots around my chin and I put it down to plucking the hairs out.
Been on met for 2 months now and the spots around there have really reduced a lot and now the only spots I do get are from plucking too close to the skin. (well thats what I think anyway)
My acne lately has been really bad around my jawline, to. I just thought it was because my hair since it has grown out winds up around that part of my face...and sometimes that can cause a problem. But, interesting that the testosterone level can do that.....UGH! If I don't pluck my chin every day...I regret it. I think I am going to do electrolysis again. It was not painful at all.

I too get the hair ong and thin on my chin and get terrible breakouts too. I tried waxing, made it a mess. Now I just shave it in the shower, but nothing seems to help. The pimples are deep and painful and will not pop but are big and AWFUL! Are anyone elses like this?

I had electrolisis done on my neck and now I forever have red "acne" looking skin. I stopped getting electrolsis over a year now and it has only cleared up a little. I don't think it will ever truly look normal again. But, then, with PCOS, what is normal?
