my story is so similar The acne on the jawline is hormonal. because PCOS ladies have extra hormones and produce more androgens we get more cystic acne on the jawline. I've had the same experience after losing 20 lbs and using Met. I wish I could tell you of a treatment that works better. As you'll probably see when reading the posts here, most of us are trying something new, continually on the search for a routine or product that will work.
My personal experience has been having to cut out sugar from my diet. When I splurge on a dessert I wake up the next morning with 3 or 4 painful, itchy, burning cysts on my jawline. Now, cutting out sugar hasn't made it go away 100%. I still struggle! But it's definitely better. one thing that has helped me when they are so painful is to ice my jaw... they swelling of the cysts go down and the pain is much less.
If you are not trying to conceive there are different kinds of drugs the Dr can prescribe. Read through some of the posts here. Hopefully you'll find something that you can try.

Working on getting to my "ideal" weight. Approach: no sugar and weight training. Right now the symptoms of PCOS are being managed by 1500mg of Metformin and Seasonique birth control. My acne is gone (Praise God!) and I feel great as long as I stay away from sugar and dairy (darn metformin).
