My Mood: Points: 560.24 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 560.24 | For the longest time I've been having problems with acne on my chin and forehead. I began using Proactiv and it's FABULOUS! I was worried about the cost, so I receive the small "starter" kit. It lasts for about a month and it has cleared my acne. I occassionally have a blemish, but I've linked this to my own laziness. If I'm not cleansing my face properly or even when Im not drinking plenty of water.
Which leads to the next treatment. WATER! Lots of water! It does so many wonderful things! Drinking lots of water seems to help keep my breakouts under control.
Anyway, hope that helps. |

After just a week, the acne started to go away, after two weeks I was pimple-free. Also, my skin started to have a healthy glow to it. I actually got a few compliments on what a wondeful complexion I have! Me! Who would have thought!! |

My Mood: Points: 4,045.20 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,045.20 | Hello All. I just wanted to share that I have used virtually all acne products out there and none seem to work for me. I think it is because my acne is completely harmonal and I do not want to go on the BCP. However, I have recently started using the Clinique acne line and it has really helped. I still get pimples, but it completely calms my skin and the acne heals faster. Hope this helps! Any one else have luck with this stuff?!?
P.S. The line is expensive (about $47 for all three products that will last about 2 months) but is well worth a try. Plus they have a trial size if you are a bit hesitant to buy the big bottles.

Points: 269.67 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 269.67 | What I've Found to Work I've found a few products out there to work. Firstly, when I was 12, I took Acutane. It was hell, and caused depression, but I got out of it all relatively unscarred and have had like few acne problems since (i haven't had acne problems, definitly not to the degree I was going through before my treatment began. Before, my acne was terrible and painful, and this treatment was a last resort and worked, thank god).
For people in less desperate situations, here are some other suggestions. The birth control I am taking now is really keeping my acne levels down to a min; so I would suggest using birth control first and see how it goes; not only does it treat irregularity, but, in addition, it tends to keep acne at a min. Also, to upkeep your nice facial status, definitly use Nuetregina's Oil Free Acne Wash (spelling? lol). Its the orangy face wash; it works miracles. Oh, and Differen is amazzzzing. I put a little blotch of this overnight cream on my face at night, and poof! the zit is gone the next morning! no joke! this thing works wonders for me, so I totally recommend it |

Plus my skin doesnt dry out like with ProActiv. Plus I really like the sulfur products with the Murad. They really shrink my pimples fast! |

My Mood: Points: 1,235.44 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,235.44 | I dont know if it was mentioned earlier in this thread but has anyone tried Queen Helene mint julep mask? yoiu can find it at just about any drug store and it's really cheap. Great for quick fixes and helps my whiteheads as well as the really painful cystic ones.
The scarring comes from pigmentation which i have and it looks like blotches all over my face. It's worse b/c I have a bad habit of picking and squeezing them too. I also noticed that when I use pure aloe vera, it tends to heal the scars.

It has sulfur in it, which is really helpful when you have probs with BP. I have also heard of using aloe vera, which I want to try. My skin is a lot better lately, but I still have some problem areas!!

In fact when I use Neutrogena or Clean and Clear's comparable products my face still feels oily after I wash it. |
