Has anyone tried Activia yogurt? It's supposed to help with digestive problems. Has anyone noticed a difference?

I like it. I was expecting a better experience, didn't give it a good trial though everyday, I have to be careful with the dairy, I only eat Activia once in a while now, or any yogurt for that matter.
It reminds me of Certs, with "retsin." What the heck is that? It's a made up word to describe some additive that they have and others don't. It seems like this Activia just has a different strain of bacteria. I can't imagine that it's so much better than any other live strain of bacteria in yogurt. I think it's just a marketing tool.

I like how it's a small amount of yogurt (I feel like gagging after eating too much). Haven't had much luck w/ it's claim on BM, but I think it's good yogurt!!!

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents - my mother has always ahd problems and she started eating Activia daily. I think like 2 or 3 times a day (I don't remember) She actually has noticed a difference and does feel better while eating it.
Activia yogurt has a probiotic culture in it.
Here's an article on probiotics and some of the things they do: Wikipedia: Probiotics
Probiotic bacteria are found in most dairy products, yet sometimes before the culture can travel to where it's useful (the digestive tract), the stomach destroys it. As well, some yogurts have high-amounts of sugar, or chemicals that can weaken the probiotic goodness.
It's especially good after you've taken anti-biotics, to restore the healty flora in your body.
You can by acidophilus (one form of probiotic bacteria) in capsule or tablet form, and take those. You can also buy a colony of probiotic bacteria and drink it. They're a couple dollars, but are more concentrated then just eating yogurt.
I find the concentrated versions in the health-section (refrigerated) of my super-market, and the tablets at the drug store. Any natural health store should also carry it.
