So after being on Metformin for 3 months the side effects were worsening to the point I couldn't stand the horrible cramping to the point of tears. Which was not the only side effect. My doctor immediately put me on actos and I am fine so far. Is there any else on it, if so is it working for you and r u having any s/e?? Thanks!

After problems with Met, I was put on Avandia. I had no problems with that other than fluid retention and was scared of the FDA warnings. So I was taken off of that and am [i]desperate[i] to be put on Actos. I want to be on something for my IR sooooo bad! I've heard only good things about it.

I am allergic to Met for some reason so my endo put me on Actos. I have been on it for I think 1.5 years. I think it has been that long. I am a little worried about the new warnings about Avandia and Actos. I will probably talked to my endo when I see him next month.

My biggest issues is my testosterone. It helped lower it significantly.

I also take spiro which has helped get rid of some of the fluid retention.
